I photographed Whitworth Football’s “Spring Fling” scrimmage to capture the emotion,
energy and connection that make this team special, even in the off-season. It wasn’t
just about the action on the field, but the small and meaningful moments like teammates lifting
each other up, coaches mentoring with passion and families and friends cheering from
the sidelines. I wanted these photos to tell a deeper story, one of growth, trust, hard
work and the bonds that form through sports. This scrimmage wasn’t just a practice, but it
was a reflection of Whitworth’s spirit, and I wanted to preserve that feeling with these
photos.
