The Pirate men’s tennis team dominated the Pioneers of Lewis and Clark on Friday night, winning all 9 matches. Whitworth, 1-0 in the NWC and 2-3 overall, took 5 of the 9 matches in undefeated style.
The Pioneers, falling to 0-1 in the NWC and 0-2 overall, only won 13 games of the 96 played.
The closest match of the day came in the No. 5 singles contest with the Bucs’ Colin Barrett defeating L&C Sam Franer 6-4, 6-1.
Whitworth’s Cameron Williams was perfect in both of his matches, defeating Lewis & Clark’s Muneeb Khan in singles and hooking up with his brother Henry for the doubles victory.
Daniel Redfern defeated George Allen 6-3, 6-1in the No. 1 singles match and Joe Wales and Colin Zalewski defeated Allen and Quinn Roth-Carter 8-3 in the No. 1 doubles match.
